Job Title: Advancement Coordinator
Supervisor: Angela Lugo
Hours: 20 hours (Part Time)
Salary: $13,000 annual
Goal: The Advancement Specialist functions in a support role to the Advancement Manager. S/He works directly with coordinating, planning, organization, and preparation of various fundraising events and marketing tasks.
Key Objectives:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing events of varying sizes and purposes.
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning
  • process tensure everything is in order.
  • Manage all event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests.
  • Maintain event budgets.
  • Book venues, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers.
  • Conduct final inspections on the day of the event tensure everything adheres tSAYFC standards
  • Negotiate with vendors.
  • Assess an event’s overall success and submit findings.
  • Write, edit and proofread text.
  • Coordinate the quarterly newsletter process including writers, deadlines, editing,
  • photreleases, photsubmissions, etc.
  • Choose subject matter that interest readers.
  • Present drafts to Advancement Manager for feedback.
  • Assist in executing local marketing plans, under Advancement team including social media.
  • Assist with advertising through website and social media outlets.
  • Ensure that all electronic information is error free and represents the organization with the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain archives for all historical photo, electronic and printed materials.
  • Assist with developing a social media monthly calendar.
  • Create social media posts through Canva.
  • Adhere to social media posting guidelines.
  • Assit in manageing social media platforms.
  • Coordinate Christmas Board/Staff Mixer.
  • Assist with coordinating Board monthly meetings and events.
  • Support Business office administrative team as needed.
  • Seasonal projects.
  • Work flexible hours.
  • Perform various Administrative tasks.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as an event coordinator.
  • Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Grow spiritually and as a leader.
  • Seek to encourage and build confidence within the team.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
